The Conjuring 2Movie Title: The Conjuring 2
Release Date: June 10, 2016
Studio: Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema
Director:  James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring, Furious 7)
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver, Sterling Jerins
Plot: The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

Thoughts: The Conjuring was a successful supernatural thriller that also spawned the spinoff/prequel Annabelle, so a direct sequel was a no brainer. I’ll be interesting to see how The Conjuring 2 expands on the world around the Warren’s and if/how it will lead to even more movies in the series.
